Among the machines we captured on Retro Rides Gathering 2018, was this very interesting VW Golf Mk1. Owned, built and driven by Chris Priddle that had just arrived from the Nurburgring Nordschleife, while posting a very respectable 8:20 lap (with traffic) on its second try.

Of course that peaked our interest, so here you can see more about it and how Mr. Priddle drives this 1.8L Naturally Aspirated Pocket Rocket. That while only producing 155HP, benefits from its low weight of around 750Kg to become a rather quick and agile thing.
