The NEW 2024 GT-R has been unveiled by Nissan!

The Nissan GT-R has received a significant update for the 2024 model year, which was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The new GT-R gets new front and rear fascias, improved aerodynamics, several mechanical changes, and the reintroduction of the T-spec trim.

The front bumper has been redesigned with a thinned upper grille and fang-like end pieces, while the lower grille has been given a boxy air opening and hexagon-shaped daytime running lights. The rear has also undergone some changes, such as the trim around the quad-exhaust exits, to bring the GT-R in line with modern times.

The bodywork is said to increase downforce while maintaining a drag coefficient of 0.26 Cd, the same as the previous model. The engine remains the same hand-built 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6, producing 565 horsepower and 467 lb. ft. of torque, and is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Nissan’s ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system. The GT-R Nismo, which is track-ready, also makes a return for 2024 with updated bodywork, wider tires, carbon-ceramic rotors, and a limited-slip differential for the front axle. Output is unchanged at 600HP and 481 lb-ft of torque.

The GT-R T-spec, which gets the base engine but the carbon-ceramic brakes, widened front fenders, and stability control calibration from the Nismo, will also be available. The new GT-R will arrive at select US dealerships in the spring, with the Nismo models to follow in the summer. Pricing is yet to be announced.
