Honda S2000 vs Supercharged GT86 & MX-5: DRAG RACE Drag & Track by turboandstance - November 6, 2024November 6, 2024 It’s time for a JDM showdown! We’ve got a Honda S2000, and it’s going up against a tuned MX-5 Mk3 and a tuned GT86! The question is, which will come out on top over the quarter mile? Let’s take a closer look at the stats. Starting with the MX-5, this would normally produce 162hp and 176Nm of torque from its 2-litre 4-cylinder engine. However, this one has had a supercharger fitted, and it now puts down 260hp and 280Nm! This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and the car weighs in at 1,132kg. With all the mods included, this car is valued at around £13,000. Next up we have the GT86. It’s also powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder that produces 200hp and 205Nm. However, just like the MX-5, it’s had a supercharger fitted, and it now puts down 280hp and 300Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it’s the heaviest car here, tipping the scales at 1,270kg. It’s also the most expensive car here, with a value of £15,000. Lastly, we have the S2000. It’s had no mods fitted to it, so its 2-litre 4-cylinder still produces 240hp and 207Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it weighs in at 1260kg. As it is now, the car is valued at £12,000. So the GT86 has the most power, but does it have what it takes to snatch the win? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Don’t forget to follow us also on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram!
