BMW M4 CS v Shelby GT 350: DRAG RACE

It’s time for a Germany vs America showdown!

We’ve got our hands on the F82 M4 CS, and it’s going up against a Shelby Mustang GT350! The question is, which will come out on top? Well, let’s take a closer look at the stats.

Starting with the BMW, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six. This creates 460hp and 600Nm, and this power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The car tips the scales at 1,580kg, and when it was new in 2017, it cost around £89,000.

Then we come to the Mustang. It’s housing a glorious 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 under the bonnet, and it’s been tuned to produce 600hp and 597Nm of torque. This power is delivered to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,680kg. As new it costs around £50,000.

So the Mustang is well up on power, but will the manual transmission be its undoing?! There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE! For more content follow us also on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram!
