They spotted this cool Mk1 Golf at the GTI Spring Festival at Santa Pod Raceway, that was running constant low 12 second 1/4 miles, and then dipped into the 11’s with an 11.999 @ 121mph.

They managed to track the owner down and asked what mods he was running. Turns out it is fitted wth a 2.0 TFSI engine and DSG gearbox, tuned to 330bhp and with the help of an LSD and some drag tyres, makes this one fast retro hot hatch. Imagine having this back in the 80’s !
