It’s time for a Korea vs Germany drag race! Mat’s lining up in the Kia Stinger GT against the Volkswagen Arteon R Shooting Brake. Think this is a bit of a pointless race?

Well once you see the stats you’ll realise there’s a method behind our madness! Starting with the Kia Stinger GT, it’s housing a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet which can produce 366hp & 510Nm of torque. It’s RWD, and it weighs in at 1,855kg.

As for the Arteon, well the engine size is much smaller! It’s powered by a 2-litre 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine which can produce 320hp & 420Nm. However, it has two big advantages over the Kia – it’s lighter (at 1800kg) and it’s equipped with AWD!
